Around the world travel packages are by far the best and most economically way to see the world. Many people i know have embarked on a trip like this and not only have they said that it’s changed their lives in ways they couldn’t imagine it’s also proven to be very economical.
The more popular travel packages come either from the airlines themselves (which are rarely your best bet) or special travel agencies. Here’s how it works: These agencies pull together flight specials from two or more airlines, usually connected to major hubs around the world (the biggest are San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, London, Frankfurt, Barcelona, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Sydney, Auckland, New Delhi, Mumbai, Nairobi and Rio de Janeiro). The main reason people do this is because they are buying three or more flights at a time which constitutes buying in bulk and therefore bringing the costs right down. A few years back i bought a round the world ticket for £1200 which was valid for 12 months, you were able to change the dates of your flights without being charged a fee and the ticket included flights to South America, Australia, New Zealand and Africa. On the surface that may sound like a lot of money but if you break down the individual cost of flights then it would work out to be considerably more expensive than that.
Many people are now deciding to venture outside the ‘bog standard’ route and opting to include Africa in their trip instead of either Asia or America. Many more people want to discover what it’s like to head out on a Kenya safari and visit destinations like the Serengeti. One massive advantage of re-routing your ticket through Africa is there are very few other people that do it in comparison with Asia. It’s a great opportunity for you to get off the ‘beaten track’ and do some exploring on your own.
Namibia travel is very popular with people on their gap year mainly because this region is vastly different from many other places on the continent and in the world. Being on you gap year is all about experiencing new things and broadening your mind. Chances are you will return back home after you’re travelling a completely new person.
