How To Make Planes Less Dangerous

May 21st, 2011

I was reading the news this week about the Turkish aeroplane that crashed in Amsterdam, a truly horrific experience for all of those involved I am sure. I would say that I travel in an aeroplane on average six times every year and I am quite worried each and every time. It is the sense and the knowing that I am not in control of the situation. In this article I will be providing an idea that would not only make air travel safer but would also ensure that the experience for all concerned was far less stressful.

I am a frequent business (I am a London IT services expert and I work for a large IT support company London)flyer as and I often use the Gatwick valet parking. I happen to think that the valet parking Gatwick south terminal meeting point service providers are the best around – anyway back to my idea!

My idea would be to create a huge parachute which would be deployed if and when required. For example if the pilot found that both of the planes engines had failed then instead of panicking and thinking about how to crash land the plane he/she could instead open up the parachute which would in turn enable the aeroplane to slowly fall to the land below. With the help of the landing gear this would then be a relaxed, perhaps even enjoyable, solution to the problem.

The pilot would of course need to make the decision as to where it would be safe to deploy the parachute but this in fairness should be a fairly logical decision to make.

So what are the potential problems with creating such a parachute? Well to start with is the sheer weight and size of the average aeroplane and secondly would be the cost involved. In reality I would be happy to pay an additional amount if I knew that the aeroplane that I was travelling in had a parachute and I am sure that many other people would as well. As for the problematic design requirements I am fairly confident that there is a genius out there who could find a solution, what is more if they could there name would go down in history and they would become extremely wealthy, virtually over night.

I hope that you have found this article to be of interest – maybe one day my ideas might become a reality!

Helpful Tips To Ensure You Enjoy Your Flight

November 2nd, 2010

It is important that you have a really comfortable journey when you are planning a plane trip especially if it is a long haul flight. There are plenty of people who get very stressed out at the thoughts of flying but if they do a bit of planning and get some good advice, then they can usually avoid this. Here are the top tips for comfortable flying.

- Anyone going on a long haul flight would be wise to buy themselves a good neck pillow. These can make a huge difference and you may even be able to get a good sleep on the plane. It is not very expensive to buy a neck pillow and they will last you for years.

- A plane journey can end up being much more uncomfortable than needs be simply because of too much alcohol so try to avoid this if possible. There have been times where high altitudes and alcohol can cause aggression in some people and the fact that there could be times when you can’t use the toilet means that drinking alcohol should be kept to a minimum.

- Although many planes will have in-flight entertainment, not all do. It is always a good idea to bring your own entertainment. Something like a game console, iPad, or eBook reader can be great for passing the time. And if you don’t care for all these technical gadgets then a good old fashioned book will work just as well.

- Investigate any carrier before you choose them; you are sure to find plenty of reviews online. You might want to avoid a number of airlines because they don’t have such a good reputation when it comes to comfort.

- It might be wise to take a spare jumper in your hand luggage if possible. Cabins can sometimes get really cold during the flight and there never seems to be enough blankets. It is a good idea to have a few layers of clothing so that you can take things off and put them on as you see fit.

Probably one of the best known names in business is virgin atlantic. And this huge company was established by none other than richard branson. Another huge part of the company is virgin mobile usa.

International Airlines In Europe Tomorrow

October 21st, 2010

Italy, recognizable on the earth map as the boot-shaped Italian peninsula in southern Europe, has fairly a quantity of attractions that ensure steady tourist traffic. The independent countries of San Marino plus the Vatican City are enclosed within Italian territory. The country’s beauty and historical monuments lures numerous tourists from all over the world.

These consist of Delta, American Airlines, Alitalia, Air France, Iberia and Swiss International airlines. An additional choice would be to fly to other large cities in Europe for example London, Frankfurt or Paris and opt for a low spending budget flight to Italy.

With the boom of International Airlines, you don’t need to have 16 months or a gigantic ship to pull of a Magellan act (the explorer). When man’s age old urge to fly gave birth to aero planes, nobody had even dreamt in the idea of world-wide village. The idea of air traveling has slide down to the second rung from the ladder as arrival of spacecrafts pushed it down. This is considered one of those ever mystifying dynamics of human race. Progress, vision and ingenuity led us to global connectivity through International Airlines. A golden achievement indeed!

Aviation industry on the earth has undergone a tremendous alter inside last couple of decades, resulting in a radical boost of world airways flying from nation to nation. The rising prominence on the civil aviation trade on the planet is absolutely due to a considerable clientele size.

Flights to Italy from these cities are easy to find, thanks to your funds airline phenomenon. With all of those airways battling amongst themselves, this can only be great news for the customer. Several budget airlines fly from the UK or Europe to Italian locations and it is uncomplicated to find a bargain flight to Italy. The demand for Rome, Venice, and Milan is understandable. Some of those make great bases for exploring further; most are a lovely weekend break themselves.

The expense to undertake a flight journey had been out of reach for that middle class. If you review the quantity of passengers in International Airlines, you are able to see that the scenario has changed drastically inside recent years. Flying is no far more a fantasy or one thing enjoyed by rich. Just compare our childhood days, when we used to rush out in the home to wave at a distant aero plane and also the present day kids’ indifference to it. Progress depends on the extent of control we have on time and space.

I recommend you read essays about Delat Airlines and also Air Cubana.

Are Luxury Cruises for Everyone?

October 8th, 2010

Films depicting luxurious boats such as the Titanic, create an idea that being in a luxury cruise is a privilege that just a few people can be lucky enough to have in their lifetime. Its not just the cost that makes it a forbidding experience for the majority of the people but also the lifestyle of those on board. In all those movies people appear to be wearing very formal and ultra uncomfortable clothes that do not really fit into the idea of travelling!

What is wrong though, is that in most of those films the boats were not actually cruise boats. In Titanic, for instance, the vast majority of the people was trying to get into the United States to start a new file and just a few handful of people got into it for recreation purposes. During those times people were using boats in order to cover huge distances as planes were not that publicly available yet. The modern equivalent of the titanic would be a super luxurious airplane where people would fly from London to Sydney nonstop.

Therefore, I would like to claim that most people have a slightly wrong idea about what kind of people are actually taking up a cruise. Definitely there are many different kinds of cruises and not all of them are for the super rich.

Cunard cruises start from around £350 for a 2 day trip from Hamburg to Southampton on Queen Elizabeth 2. A 2 day trip to Paris would cost pretty much the same. Oceania cruises and Silversea cruises similarly offer low budget options for those who cannot afford paying a fortune.

It is true that luxury cruises are mainly for the middle-aged and pensioners but it is wrong to believe that they are exclusively for them. But all those who are really curious to find out how a cruise is like they would still stand a chance. The vast majority of people who have actually tried it claim that it was one of the bets experiences ever!

Innovative Ways to Planning Your Travel Trip

October 2nd, 2010

Time for planning your next trip. You may know just where you like to go on your next trip. Thats good for you to start planning. But what if you have no idea where to go? Ive got some tips if you are looking for good places to go. Many of these ideas may be helpful even if you know the place you want to go. You still require information unless its someplace you return to often or are familiar with.

So whats now the best way to start? Well, you need to take into account what your budget is and how many days you have. Next start talking to the people you would like traveling with. Your kids will probably say Disneyland or Disney World affordable vacations. Without doubt its a great idea. May be youve your own ideas and do something youve always dreamed about.

Your dreams about that place you want to go can be domestic or worldwide. Dont limit yourself in your dreams. Trip planning can work for you. If you plan this right, you might just surprise yourself and find that you can afford it. Naturally, in this economy, I advocate only taking the getaway you can afford, in any other case you will be back home full of sorrow instead of fantastic memories.

The old TV is a good place to start your trip planning. What television programs have you watched that make you want to pack your bags and go there. Havent you ever watched television programs that make you wish to take your luggage and travel to there? Visiting great beach destinations}? {Traveling abroad?

You also can do your research using traveling magazines. May be you dont have any yourself, you can probably get them in your doctors or dentist office. Youll get many ideas to find a place for traveling that youve never picked up before. But it appears inviting, and you can afford it.

Also get brochures or look at standard tours. The wonderful pictures will get you dreaming more, and the travel plan will allow you to see the possibilities for your length of time. If you desire to go to a beach destination, would you like to make it affordable Mexico vacation packages in Cancun or on a Bahamas Island Paradise vacation instead of Florida? Nothing against Florida and Disney World. Just trying to think outside the box to decide where you desire to go.

Check with your local travel agencies. Theyll provide tons of brochures and helpful hints on how to plan your next trip. You may want to make your reservation on the internet, or you may consider that its more comfortable your travel agent will all these things do for you. But keep in mind that the economy and airline compensation have altered the manner travel agents work. Several agencies now need to charge a fee for their services. However, dont leave out this resource.

Internal British Vacation?

August 22nd, 2010

Getting away on vacation within in your own country it can be a great idea and more often than not you will find it to be cheaper, easier to organise and one of the best things about it is that there are no visa forms to have to fill in which is fantastic!! There are advantages to sticking to Britain when it comes to the summer vacation this year.

Forms

I know that it can be difficult to get to places especially places like the USA as it can be very tough because of all of the forms that have to be filled in when it comes to things, there are also so many checks over there too, it is worth it though. Now to someone like me this doesnt matter because I love the place and will go no matter what but for other people it can be a real hassle. The great thing about Britain is that there are no annoying forms to hand out at all, pack the passport and you can head out to any country in Britain.

Costs

So many times you will find the costs of that holiday slowly building up and that money could go somewhere else. It can of course be expensive in the UK but if you know where to look it can also be cheap. Make sure you look for the right area and with the right kind of budget you will go very far indeed.

Things To Do

There are a lot of things to do in Britain and so many people out there do not think about them. There are things such h as spa breaks as well as dancing holidays and even UK family holidays that can liven up any persons aspirations when it comes to holidaying in the UK.

So there you have it really, why not go out and enjoy a vacation in the UK!

Options For The Best Vacations For Adventure Enthusiasts

July 22nd, 2010

For some people, vacations mean sitting on the beach, sipping frozen cocktails, and enjoying exotic nightlife. For others, it may be a trip to the clean, crisp air of the mountains. However, for some, this is an idea that is nothing but boring. These people are truly adventure seekers, and even while on vacation, they need their adrenaline pumping at full speed. For them, vacation means time away from their drab, dull lives. The idea of lounging on a beach for five straight days would mean misery for them, unless they find themselves swimming with sharks. There are plenty of trips for these adventure seekers and action-packed activities that will keep them happy during the entire trip. Air enthusiasts will love a Floatplane charter or a Floatplane to Torino.

These are great options for enjoying an adventure in a non-conventional ways. Not only do you get a great trip, you will enjoy photo opportunities and sights you will remember forever. Best of all, these trips are affordable and great for just about everyone.

If you prefer water sports to flying, consider a white water rafting adventure. These trips get you out into nature, but from a different perspective from flying. They are the best way to explore some of the wildest rapids the world has to offer and you will be able to have scenic tours of areas you may be unable to reach via hiking or motor vehicle. These trips can be coupled with camping or hiking outings to complete a true outdoor adventure trip. If the rapids are a bit much for you, there are options for kayaking or canoeing which can get you near the same areas but without the risk of white water rafting. Many of the trips can be paired together so you are able to experience the calming journey down a quiet stream as well as the wild wonders of the roaring rapids.

For those who want to avoid rafting and air travel, you can plan a wildlife adventure. There are vacation companies that plan adventures that combine a variety of trips. Many of these trips are packed with the dangers of facing wildlife up close and personal. You may need a guide to traverse certain countryside’s safely, and tour companies put together trips that come with trained guides, proper equipment, and plenty of fun and adventure. Imagine coming home armed with a photo album filled with dangerous animals! If you cannot decide between one or two of these options, plan them all.

You can combine many of these adventures into one trip, or you can spread each trip across the course of several years. Adventure seekers need not fear; vacations do not have to be about lazy days on the beach.

Why Have An Office Abroad?

July 15th, 2010

There are a lot of people out there nowadays that actually have their offices in their home country but yet seem to work abroad.

When you are working in your own villa or something along these lines you do not need to worry about that office space and this is because you have the freedom of working around the pool and just kicking back and enjoying the outside. Things that really improve include lunchtimes and this is because you have a lot more freedom on what you do. Just for an example you could cook a couple of burgers on the BBQ for lunch and then jump in the pool for a bit.

Of course I am talking about holiday villa in Moraira at the moment but you do not have to stick with this and even a proper serviced offices can help with things like this because you are still in another area and you have access to weather that is actually half decent you will find that your working day is a lot better. Workers will love getting up at lunchtime and sitting on the beach and this has been proven to increase productivity too which is great.

The only negative to doing this kind of thing that I can see is from them working properly. If you are sitting in a villa and trying to do a bit of work it can be pretty tough because there are constant distractions but in a country like the UK it really isnt easy to be distracted by something like the weather.

An office abroad is a great idea for many people but at the same time it can be a very terrible idea for others, test it out by taking a couple of weeks to work out somewhere and you will see if it is for you.
