One of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe and the World is France and it has actually been voted the best place to visit by many people. But what makes France such a popular place to visit for so many people? What makes the capital city Paris one of the most talked about places on the planet? The numerous things that you can see and do in France is probably the main reason and anyone who has ever been there will agree. There really is somethign for everyone from the French Riviera to the French Alps.
Many of us in the UK like the French weather. It is almost impossible for us to make any plans which rely on the weather here in the UK, but in France, especially in the south, they always seem to have nice sunny weather from early spring to late autumn. Even though the majority of France experiences a mild winter, the Alps can always be depended on to provide enough snow for skiing. But for many people there is more to France than just the weather. France is full of culture, style, sophistication and class and it is very hard not to come under its spell while you are there; you would be hard pressed to find this anywhere else on the globe.
Getting around France is easy. The public transport is superb and the roads are excellent so you will never find it hard to reach your destination. Getting from England to France is so easy these days; we have so many options when it comes to getting from one country to another but by far the shortest way to travel between the two countries is the Channel Tunnel; a journey which takes only thirty five minutes. France is a very tourist orientated country and there are plenty of hotels available; it is possible to find accommodation to suit all budgets. You will be in heaven if you like to eat and drink out because the food in France and the wine are out of this world. France really is a great place to visit.
