Yes, it may be costly but its portability offsets the price disadvantage. You can utilize a smart phone to connect to the Web, play videos and music, compose documents, and do many other things a laptop does.
5. Do not bring unnecessary things. For example, do you really need to bring your portable speaker for your MP3 player? Why not take with you smaller and lighter earphones instead? Do you really need to bring a towel? The hotel can provide you fresh towels anyway.
