Torrevieja Temperatures and Weather
Torrevieja weather is usually good all the year round and is one of the key factors in attracting millions of visitors each year. Torrevieja is the most popular of the Costa Blanca coastal tourist resorts ahead of Alicante and Torrevieja. In this article as well as weather we also look at some of Torrevieja’s famous sights.
There is very little rainfall in Torrevieja, mostly in November, summer is long and extremely hot but that is what tourists want.
Now you are interested in coming to Torrevieja we look at some things to do and see. Arrive on the Costa Blanca into El Altet airport in Alicante and get an airport transfer from there.
One excursion would be the completely different town of Cartagena,located on the Costa Calida in south-east Spain.
Altea is a must-see town further up the Costa Blanca to thenorth of Torrevieja. Some people can’t sit still on the beach and in this respect Torrevieja does offer alternatives.
Keep the kids entertained at one of the many theme parks in the Torrevieja area. Terra Mitica is the biggest theme park in the Costa Blanca in the resort of Benidorm with many rollercoasters and rides for the smaller children too. One park that never shuts down is the sister theme park of Terra Natura.
This is basically a zoo but with nicely laid out settings allowing the animals to feel like they are in their natural habitat. Next to Terra Natura is the aqua water park with slides and pools which is clearly just open for the summer. Some of the rides are strictly for adults only and this is a much smaller water park than Aqualandia.
Close to the most popular Levante district of Torrevieja are two other theme parks. Aqualandia is the best water park inBenidorm and Mundomar is pretty small but good for a day visit to see the sealife animals and creatures. Be careful to wear sunscreen as most of the attractions are out in the open air. Clearly not all of the theme parks are open all the year round so do check before you visit.
Torrevieja is also enjoyed by people in the winter months as the Torrevieja weather in winters are known to be mild so there many people from Northern Europe coming here to get away from the bitter winters. You would have to be unlucky to have a week here where it just rained, still there is plenty of keep you entertained if that does happen.
The weather is a big factor but also many people come here because of the nightly entertainment and cheap drinks. Accommodation in Torrevieja is very reasonable, it is an inexpensive town to visit. The Spanish resort of Torrevieja will not appeal to fussy travellers but if you want a low-cost holiday in the sun, there is no better place to visit.
