Caster Boards are one of the latest and greatest inventions on the market today. And the RipStik is undoubtedly the finest caster board on the market. If you are used to riding a skateboard, it is easiet to learn how to ride a RipStik. Definitely recommended for pre-teens, teens and young adults who are into skateboarding.The back and forth rocking motion that moves the ripstik board is state of the art! This brings skateboarding to a whole new level. Real good stuff and a cool technology.
The Ripstik G is a much smoother ride, faster and turning is much easier. This is a very solid and durable product made of high quality material. This product is made and intended for tricks. For little children who can be pretty harsh, high quality products are essential.
The late RipStik G is smoother and more robust than the original Ripstik. The G tube makes it easier to grind, which is really wicked. There is a product called Ripster (smaller ripstik made for early age kids) which would be a perfect product for younger kids just starting out.
It took probably around an hour of practice to start riding smoothly. The video lessons are a big help and they also can be seen on YouTube. It is very much advised for you to watch and follow the instructions closely. With those videos, you should have no problem riding and there was barely a learning curve. You should be riding and making turns within an hour of unpacking the RipStik.
Once you start riding on smooth ground, its really addictive since you dont need to paddle with your foot. You dont need to step off the ripstik to go faster and turning is as easy as leaning your body the exact way. Riding on Ripstik G is safe enough for those who have string of ankle and knee injuries.
Up hills, down hills Ripstik provides a great ride! Totally, it was a lot of fun and very addicting. You will be charmed by all the swanky designs and color options that the board comes in. And as far as performance goes, you cant beat the Ripstik G Caster! It is definitely worth the cost!
