You can still stay on Table Mountain until the sun sets but the last ride down will leave soon afterwards.
Should you want to relax at the beach and get a bit of a tan, then Camps Bay is the place to be. Here you will find white sand and many palm trees at the promenade. The promenade also hosts a lot of shops, cafes and restaurants should you want to escape the sun during the mid-day period. Should the wind blow over Camps Bay, there is a beach alternative only 5 minutes away. The Beach is called Clifton 4th and is protected by a formation of rocks. During the summer, this is the most popular beach in Cape Town and is always well frequented. There are no shops nearby but vendors walk up and down the beach selling cool drinks and ice cream. The water at these beaches is cold and the currents are quite strong – just be aware of that!
The V&A Waterfront is a perfect place to spend your evening. There are many bars and restaurants located here offering most cuisines available. The prices are a big high though because the V&A Waterfront is regarded as a tourism hotspot. Shops are open until late and most travel services are located here. Here you can book your spot for the next day on several tourism attractions such as a boat cruise to Robben Island, a bus ride through the Cape peninsula and the Cape of Good Hope. The Castle of Good Hope gives you a good view of what Cape Town looked like around 200 years ago. There is so much to do in Cape Town, you will not regret making it your holiday destination.
